Water Hyacinth

Water Hyacinth are floating water plants with beautiful lavendar-colored flowers.  These floating aquatic plants are among the most effective natural filtration plants, so these pond floaters help control algae by taking nutrients out of the pond water that would otherwise feed the algae. 

Water hyacinth prefer water temperatures of 65 degrees and higher, so they are considered tropical aquatic plants.  They are very fast growing plants that can benefit from additional fertilizer (we offer Throw Tabs) to keep them lush and green.
