Floating Island Planters
Floating Island Planters are functional and beautiful for ponds and water gardens. They are koi-proof and self watering. The plants in these floating planters also pull nutrients out of the pond water via their roots, thereby helping to control algae.
Also called floating pond islands, or pond island planters, these containers are available in many sizes-from the 9" diameter (for small ponds) up to the 24" diameter (for large ponds or small lakes).
It is highly recommended to use a light-weight media for the planters to keep them more buoyant. We offer 2 sizes of boxed media that has been specially formulated for these floating island planters. The media contains calcined clay, composted peat moss and peanut hulls and sphagnum peat moss. The media is 100% natural.
