How does Solar Lighting work? Each Solar light has solar panels inset in the top of the housing that absorb sunlight and convert it to electricity. That electricity is then stored in the batteries. The light automatically turns on at dusk when the sensor can no longer register any daylight. The stored energy in the batteries is what powers the solar light.
A fully charged light will run approximately 6-10 hours. The number of hours it is illuminated is directly proportional to the number of hours it receives of sunlight
