The PondSweep Economy Skimmer unit acts as a pump housing while performing three different tasks: it skims leaves & surface debris, acts as a mechanical filter unit, and has a pre-filter/settling chamber.
Debris is collected in a reusable net that can be removed for disposal. The pump or pump inlet is protected from clogging by the tightly sealed mat (if the water level is lower in the pump chamber, it is a signal to clean the mat). The mat is easy to remove and this makes cleaning and maintenance a breeze.
