We are ready for Summer!

With the multitude of gloom so pervasive in the media, you probably just want to escape to your backyard. Ponds & gardens provide a retreat from the stress of daily life, in addition to giving us all that much needed exercise! For most, Summer is a time of slowing down and relaxation. As the days gradually lengthen, we know we can't neglect the pond. Go ahead and get your hands wet (or if you prefer dry hands, we have long gloves for water garden maintenance). This is the time to add beneficial bacteria to the pond on a weekly basis. This good bacteria works to break down the ammonia and nitrites from fish waste converting them to nitrates for aquatic plant use. As a result, your green water algae problems should be history!
